Published by the American Society of Exercise Physiologists, the Journal of Exercise Physiologyonline (ISSN 1097-9751) is a professional peer reviewed internet-based journal devoted to original research in exercise physiology. The journal is directed by the Editor-In-Chief with supporting editorial assistance via Associate Editors knowledgeable in the field of exercise physiology and are dedicated to the ethical and professional publication standards that help produce the highest quality publications for science and practice of exercise physiology.  The advent of generative AI and its potential use by authors is a matter of concern and our current policy is that we prefer authors to disclose any use of AI to generate text of an article be disclosed in the manuscript to enable discussion and closer evaluation.  Questions and comments may be directed to editor@asep.org.
