Regional Societies

The Society has authorized the development of 4 regional divisions:

  • North Central Society
  • North Atlantic Society
  • Southern Society, and

  • Pacific and Mountain Society (including Alaska and Hawaii).
The regional divisions are designed to achieve the following objectives:
  • To conduct and assist with various professional, educational, and public programs.
  • To provide a member forum for discussion and development of the exercise physiology profession.
  • To provide a professional setting for the presentation of research findings.
  • To present educational and news materials for professional use.
  • To introduce exercise physiology majors (students) to the Society through the development and support of institution-based student chapters of ASEP.
  • To introduce non-member professionals to ASEP.
  • To broaden the base of examination in career options.

  • To assist in the development of new in-roads into the clinical and rehabilitative careers.
