What is ASEP?
CharterThe Board of Directors shall consist of between 3 to 10 persons that govern the society. These members can be:
The members of the ASEP Board of Directors, as stipulated by article IX of the "Articles of Incorporation of the American Society of Exercise Physiologists", consist of no fewer than three or more than 10 members:Founding Members, Members of the Executive Committee, and Other outstanding professionals. After one year of office, the Board of Directors can vote on the removal or addition of individuals from/to the Board. Voting members of the Board can be elected into office and have voting rights. Other individuals can be elected to the Board of Directors without voting privileges. The Board of Directors selects a President of the Society based on the needs of the Society and the suitability of a presidential candidate to fulfill those needs. The duration of the term in office for the President of ASEP is one year.
