ISSN 1097-9751) is published by the American Society of Exercise
Physiologists (ASEP). It is a professional peer reviewed
internet-based journal devoted to
original

physiology. JEPonline
is published
bi-monthly.
To submit a manuscript
for review, email the manuscript to the JEPonline

Author
Responsibilities Manuscript content and
accuracy are the responsibility of the
authors. Authors must submit a
disclosure statement regarding authorship and transfer of copyright
(see below). In
order to
ease the difficulty of multiple authors from various locations signing
a single
disclosure, JEPonline will
accept a electronic signature of the lead author as responsible party
for the disclosures. The disclosure
statement should be emailed along with the submitted manuscript: The disclosure statement
should include the title of
the submitted work and certify the following: 1)
That
all authors have participated substantially in the
submitted work. 2)
That
all authors have reviewed and approve of the final
version of the work and take responsibility for the content. 3)
That
the manuscript is original and unpublished material,
except in abstract form or oral report, and is not under consideration
by
another journal. 4)
The
disclosure statement must be signed and dated by all
authors, or otherwise the lead author assumes full responsibility for
all other authors. 5)
The
author(s) undersigned transfer all copyright ownership
to the JEPonline in the event
that the
work is published by JEPonline. 6)
A
electronic signature is legally binding. Conflicts of Interests Authors should inform the Editor-In-Chief of any potential conflicts of interests. These include, but are not limited to, financial arrangements, organizational affiliations, or other relationships that may constitute a conflict of interest regarding the submitted work. This information should be contained in the emailed cover letter. In addition, authors must obtain permission from all persons named in the acknowledgement section. Authors should include in the emailed cover letter that such permission has been granted. If human subjects were
involved in the study, the manuscript
must provide a statement regarding the use of Institutional Review
Board
protocol, signed consent forms, and compliance with additional
guidelines such
as HIPPA where appropriate. Fees and Page Charges A.

Process
All submissions to JEPonline are peer reviewed. All members
of the Review Board follow ASEP-specific
guidelines in how they
should review manuscripts, and their presence on the Board indicates
that they adhere
to the ASEP code of ethics regarding manuscript reviews. JEPonline does not strive to
maintain a
manuscript rejection rate. Manuscripts
are either suitable for publication after one round of reviews or they
require
additional work. If a manuscript
can be improved, then, we offer the authors the information needed to
improve the
manuscript. It is the authors' decision to decide as to whether
they want to
continue revising the manuscript and complete a re-submission. Of course, there is always the possibility
that a
manuscript simply cannot be published as written. Such
would certainly be an obvious reason for an outright rejection. The editorial staff will
work with authors to improve
manuscripts. Such collaboration
could consist of clarifying the purpose and hypotheses, improving the
methodological
descriptions, ensuring that the statistical procedures used to analyze
the data are correctly carried out and appropriate, and
contributing to data interpretation. We
recognize the expertise of the submitting authors, and want to work
with them to
make their manuscript as good as possible. Copyright
