The Department of Kinesiology at the University of New Hampshire is currently seeking applicants for a Clinical Assistant Professor position in Exercise Science beginning August 1, 2009. A master’s degree in exercise science is required and clinical exercise testing experience is desirable. The successful candidate will have clinical skills necessary to direct and oversee the running of a community-based cardiac rehabilitation program and assist with the running of an employee fitness program and will be able to perform fitness and graded exercise tests. Clinical experience running graded exercise tests is extremely desirable. This position will also have undergraduate teaching expectations and teaching experience is extremely desirable. Teaching at the undergraduate level is highly valued at the University of New Hampshire and experience with non-traditional and diverse students is extremely desirable. Courses that may be taught by the candidate include: Cardiopulmonary Pathologies, Practicum in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Fitness and Graded Exercise Testing, Exercise Prescription and Leadership, Science and Practice of Strength Training, Scientific Foundations of Health and Fitness, or Biology of Aging. Student advising experience is desirable.
